As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in managing legal documents, conducting research, and providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients alike. This paid position is designed to foster professional growth while contributing to impactful legal work.Duties<ul><li>Assist attorneys with legal case management by organizing and maintaining case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw</li><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to support ongoing cases across various practice areas</li><li>Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity</li><li>Perform document review and data entry tasks accurately to ensure compliance with case requirements and deadlines</li><li>Support litigation processes through document management, filing, transcription, and proofreading of legal materials</li><li>Coordinate client interviews and gather pertinent information through effective interviewing techniques</li><li>Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, handling phone etiquette professionally, and organizing files efficiently</li><li>Assist in preparing reports and summaries related to estate planning, landlord-tenant issues, workers' compensation claims, personal injury cases, securities transactions, tribal regulations, patent filings, and other legal matters</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience demonstrating familiarity with law office operations</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail</li><li>Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with iManage or Document Management Systems is preferred</li><li>Knowledge of various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law &amp; regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and litigation processes</li><li>Experience with legal case management software like PCLaw or similar platforms is advantageous</li><li>Strong clerical skills including filing, data entry, proofreading, transcription and document review</li><li>Excellent phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills</li><li>Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information</li></ul>Join us in this engaging role where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional legal support.
