This paid position offers opportunities for professional growth and meaningful engagement within a collaborative healthcare setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to digestive health, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other minimally invasive interventions.</li><li>Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations to inform treatment plans.</li><li>Administer medications accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety standards.</li><li>Support patient education on pre- and post-procedure care, such as dietary restrictions, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.</li><li>Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, technicians, and support staff utilizing EMR</li><li>Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Assist in laboratory specimen collection, processing, and documentation to facilitate accurate diagnostic evaluation.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid nursing license with current registration in the applicable state.</li><li>Valid BLS certification</li><li>Proven experience in medical-surgical units or hospital settings; endoscopy experience is highly valued.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation.</li><li>Experience working in diverse clinical environments such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency rooms, or specialty care centers like gastroenterology or is preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge related to gastrointestinal health, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for procedures, and infection control practices.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hourExpected hours: 18 &ndash; 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
