Position SummaryThe Payroll / HR Specialist is responsible for independently managing and processing full-cycle payroll while supporting core human resources functions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced construction environment with both field and office employees.This position is 100% in-office and requires a self-sufficient professional who can own payroll operations from start to finish with minimal oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll (Primary Function)<ul><li>Independently process full-cycle payroll (weekly) for field and office employees</li><li>Accurately calculate:</li><li>Regular and overtime hours</li><li>Bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage &amp; hour laws</li><li>Process wage garnishments, child support, and tax levies</li><li>Maintain payroll records, audit reports, and resolve discrepancies</li><li>Coordinate with accounting for payroll journal entries and reconciliations</li><li>Administer timekeeping systems and ensure accurate time approvals</li><li>Handle payroll-related employee inquiries professionally and promptly</li></ul>Human Resources Support<ul><li>Assist with onboarding processes (new hire entry, documentation, I-9 compliance)</li><li>Maintain employee records and personnel files</li><li>Support benefits administration and employee changes</li><li>Help enforce company policies and procedures</li><li>Provide general HR support to field and office teams</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience (REQUIRED)</li><li>Bilingual in English &amp; Spanish (REQUIRED)</li><li>Must be able to run payroll independently without supervision</li><li>Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now preferred)</li><li>Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li></ul>Pay: From $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
