Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with various disabilities, including autism, hearing impairments, and developmental delays</li><li>Implement evidence-based teaching methods such as speech therapy techniques, behavioral management strategies, and curriculum development tailored to early childhood or elementary levels</li><li>Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of learners in areas such as literacy education, math, and life skills</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavioral health practices to create a safe learning environment</li><li>Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly</li><li>Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support comprehensive student development</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, deaf education, working with individuals with autism or disabilities, and early intervention strategies</li><li>Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and IEP compliance while ensuring clear communication with families about their child's growth and needs</li><li>Incorporate library services or Montessori methods where appropriate to enrich learning experiences for preschool or early childhood students</li><li>Provide mentorship and tutoring to students requiring additional support outside regular classroom hours</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior classroom experience working with children in special education settings is essential</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management for diverse learners</li><li>Experience working with individuals with disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays preferred</li><li>Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, behavior management strategies, and literacy or math instruction highly valued</li><li>Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and early childhood education frameworks such as Montessori or preschool programs is advantageous</li><li>Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with colleagues, families, and support teams</li><li>Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs while fostering an inclusive classroom environment</li></ul>Pay: From $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
