As a Registered Nurse, you will provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your dedication will help foster a healing environment that promotes wellness, safety, and dignity for all patients.Duties<ul><li>Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to determine individual care needs.</li><li>Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.</li><li>Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining aseptic technique.</li><li>Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and interpreting results to inform treatment plans.</li><li>Provide patient education on health coaching, medication administration, pain management strategies, and discharge planning to promote recovery at home or in the community.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas like cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including laser treatments), infectious disease care, trauma medicine at Level I &amp; II trauma centers, and hospice &amp; palliative medicine.</li><li>Support patients across various settings&mdash;hospital inpatient units such as ICU or PICU, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities including nursing homes and assisted living communities&mdash;and work with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements.</li><li>Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU/CCU/PICU, outpatient clinics, or home care settings.</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate patient record management.</li><li>Experience performing advanced skills such as IV insertion/infusion, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, airway management including ventilator support, and sterile processing techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with specialized treatments including botulinum toxin therapy (for certain neurological or cosmetic indications), ostomy care, mammography procedures, esthetic laser treatments (if applicable), and DME (durable medical equipment).</li><li>Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities.</li><li>Critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to triage effectively in urgent situations and coordinate case management plans aligned with NCQA standards.</li><li>Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and relevant specialty certifications are highly preferred.
