Job Overview We are seeking a passionate coffee barista/cashier/server as a single position. Applicant must be a skilled coffee barista with experience to join our team. As a Down Home Grill employee you will, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a blend of customer service skills, espresso machine and espresso grinder knowledge. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy interacting with people, we would love to hear from you!Duties<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.</li><li>Operate TOAST POS system for order processing and cash handling.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf&eacute; area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.</li><li>Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.</li><li>Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.</li><li>Support team members in food preparation and serving tasks as needed.</li><li>Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Previous barista experience or coffee experience.</li><li>Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests.</li><li>Proficient in using POS systems such TOAST for efficient order processing.</li><li>Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during peak hours.</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations within the food industry.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.</li><li>Familiarity with retail math concepts is an advantage.
