Coffee Barista & Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate coffee barista/cashier/server as a single position. Applicant must be a skilled coffee barista with experience to join our team. As a Down Home Grill employee you will, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a blend of customer service skills, espresso machine and espresso grinder knowledge. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate TOAST POS system for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
• Support team members in food preparation and serving tasks as needed.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

Skills

• Previous barista experience or coffee experience.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests.
• Proficient in using POS systems such TOAST for efficient order processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations within the food industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
