This paid position is perfect for someone eager to grow their career in a fast-paced dental setting, combining clinical assistance with administrative excellence.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix</li><li>Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA standards</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems, answer patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, and handle intake processes smoothly</li><li>Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance verifications, and process claims using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth</li><li>Review and update medical records, ensure accurate documentation review, and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality</li><li>Support medical billing by coding procedures accurately with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding standards</li><li>Maintain organized filing of medical records, manage appointment scheduling, and perform general clerical tasks such as data entry using Microsoft Office tools</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in a dental office or clinic environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks; experience with Epic, Meditech or Athenahealth is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, and health information management practices</li><li>Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively</li><li>Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute is preferred</li><li>Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively</li><li>Prior clinic or medical office experience is preferred; familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical documentation review processes is essential</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all administrative tasks</li></ul>Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care while supporting each other&rsquo;s growth.
