Job Description: HR GeneralistPosition Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations with a focus on managing employee leave, required medical documentation, PTO tracking, and compliance-related processes. This role will also provide general HR support, ensuring that employees receive timely, accurate, and professional service.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Process and manage employee leave of absence requests, including FMLA, short-term disability, workers&rsquo; compensation, and other medical or personal leave.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of PTO, sick time, and attendance, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.</li><li>Collect, verify, and process medical documentation required for accommodations or leaves of absence.</li><li>Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding leave eligibility, status updates, and return-to-work procedures.</li><li>Support HR compliance by maintaining personnel files and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive employee information.</li><li>Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation and coordinating employee transitions.</li><li>Provide general HR support in areas such as policy interpretation, employee relations, and benefits administration.</li><li>Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct coding and payment related to leave and PTO.</li><li>Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvements as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent combination of education and HR experience will be considered.</li><li>2&ndash;3 years of HR experience, preferably in leave administration, benefits, or HR operations.</li><li>Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave regulations strongly preferred.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with employees and managers at all levels.</li><li>Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li><li>High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Steelton, PA 17113 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
