This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced, upscale environment.Duties<ul><li>Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and guide them through our offerings with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge.</li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring timely and correct delivery.</li><li>Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.</li><li>Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales by highlighting specials or premium options.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning bar areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.</li><li>Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or traditional cashiering methods.</li><li>Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service for all guests.</li><li>Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests professionally, and resolve any concerns promptly.</li><li>Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations during busy periods.</li><li>Uphold sanitation standards through proper food handling practices and adherence to health regulations in both bar and dining areas.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous restaurant experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale environments where attention to detail is crucial.</li><li>Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in customer service roles within the food industry, including serving, bartending, or host/hostess positions.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is essential.</li><li>Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.</li><li>Familiarity with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience while increasing sales revenue.</li><li>Experience working in nightclubs or bustling hospitality settings is a plus for managing lively atmospheres effectively.
