<div></div><div>Under regular supervision, supports the daily functions of our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR compliance. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and a proactive attitude. This is a 232-day position that reports directly to the Leadership Team.</div>
<div></div><div><b>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
</b></div><ul><li>Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews</li>
<li>Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientations and exit interviews</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases</li>
<li>Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and answering employee inquiries</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies</li>
<li>Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts and policies</li>
<li>Assist with performance review and employee engagement programs</li>
<li>Support payroll preparation by providing relevant data (e.g., absences, bonuses, leaves)</li>
<li>Organize and participate in HR projects and initiatives</li>
<li>Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests</li>
</ul>

<ul><li>Is punctual and maintains regular attendance</li>
<li>Has the ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily assignments and work activities</li>
<li>Maintains a clean and orderly work environment</li>
<li>Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of changes in school policies and students' needs and interests</li>
<li>Participates in school staff development programs as assigned by the Head of School</li>
<li>Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals (such as parents, staff, students, school administrators, service providers and the general public)</li>
<li>Performs routine administrative/office tasks as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondences, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, sending and receiving faxes and emails, entering and retrieving computer data, etc.</li>
<li>Recognizes and follows the appropriate procedures in the &quot;chain of command&quot; as designated by board policies and/or administrative procedures</li>
<li>Presents a positive image of East Point Academy at all times</li>
<li>Willingly performs other related duties as assigned</li></ul><br>
<div></div><div><b>Education and Experience:</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role preferred</li>
<li>Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, Workday)</li>
<li>Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal abilities</li>
<li>Discretion and confidentiality are a must</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>Preferred Skills:</b></div>
<ul><li>HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus</li>
<li>Multilingual skills are a bonus</li>
</ul>

<div></div><div><b>Knowledge:</b></div>
<ul><li>Has thorough knowledge of the methods, policies and procedures pertaining to specific duties of the Human Resources Coordinator</li>
<li>Is knowledgeable in the laws, ordinances, standards and regulations pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position</li>
<li>Has thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and of business English and arithmetic</li>
<li>Knows how to maintain effective relationships with students, parents, co-workers, personnel of other departments, professionals and members of the public through contact and cooperation</li>
<li>Knows how to react calmly and quickly in emergency situations</li>
<li>Knows how to operate and maintain a variety of office equipment as necessary in the performance of daily activities</li>
<li>Has knowledge of the terminology and various professional languages used within the department</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>Working Conditions</b></div>
<ul><li>Conducts duties in an open and active office environment with some exposure to environmental conditions</li>
<li>Requires ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention</li>
<li>Physical demands include walking or standing and lifting/moving of items related to the job on a recurring basis</li>
<li>Occasional local travel is required; occasional overnight travel is required</li>
<li>Job requires the operation of standard office equipment</li>
</ul>

<ul><li>Responsible for completing assigned work within the deadlines in accordance with directives, policy, standards and prescribed procedures</li>
<li>Responsible for attending and remaining at work regularly and adheres to policies and procedures regarding attendance, absenteeism and tardiness, providing adequate notice to administration with respect to vacation time and leave requests</li>
