We are committed to setting you up for success and will provide comprehensive training to the right candidate.If you are looking for a challenging, constantly evolving work environment at a company with long-term growth opportunities, this role could be a great fit for you.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist with dispatching freight and coordinating shipments using transportation management systems.</li><li>Enter and verify data accurately into multiple systems including AS400, Fleet management software, and shipping &amp; receiving platforms.</li><li>Support transportation planning activities by tracking shipments via GPS and GIS tools to ensure timely deliveries.</li><li>Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams using multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.</li><li>Help monitor fleet movements and coordinate with 3PL providers to optimize logistics operations.</li><li>Maintain organized records of shipping &amp; receiving logs, incident reports, and inbound/outbound documentation.</li><li>Assist with general administrative tasks related to freight management, including data analysis and reporting to improve operational efficiency.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret transportation data and identify issues proactively.</li><li>Basic understanding of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and transportation management systems.</li><li>Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interacting with carriers and team members.</li><li>Proficiency in typing, data entry, and using multi-line phone systems for efficient workflow management.</li><li>Familiarity with logistics concepts such as freight handling, shipping &amp; receiving procedures, fleet management, and supply chain fundamentals.</li><li>Experience or coursework related to transportation planning or logistics is a plus but not required.</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms.
