Fabricator &amp; distributor of industrial gaskets &amp; rubber seals looking for a self-motivated individual to help in a variety of areas including:<ul><li>Quoting &amp; Sourcing</li><li>Assist in preparing RFQs and collecting supplier quotes; compile price/lead&#8209;time/commercial terms for comparison.</li><li>Help identify and qualify new vendors; request samples, certifications, and NDAs when required.</li><li>Maintain a database of current price lists, MOQs, and supplier contacts.</li><li>Order Entry &amp; Administration</li><li>Enter and maintain Purchase Orders and Sales Orders; verify pricing, part numbers, and terms.</li><li>Confirm order acknowledgments, delivery dates, and shipping methods; update stakeholders proactively.</li><li>Create and maintain approved vendor lists.</li><li>Quote &amp; Sales Follow&#8209;Up</li><li>Track open quotes; conduct timely follow&#8209;ups with customers to close opportunities and capture reasons won/lost.</li><li>Prepare customer&#8209;facing quote revisions and order confirmations; ensure on&#8209;brand, error&#8209;free documents.</li><li>Expediting, Logistics &amp; Receiving Support</li><li>Monitor open POs, expedite late orders, and coordinate inbound freight (domestic and international).</li><li>Work with carriers/forwarders on bookings, paperwork, and tracking; communicate ETAs to internal teams.</li><li>Assist Receiving with discrepancies, damage, or over/short shipments; help initiate RMAs as needed.</li><li>Inventory Coordination</li><li>Support cycle counts and min/max settings; flag potential stock&#8209;outs and slow&#8209;moving items.</li><li>Prepare basic demand/usage summaries from historical data to inform buys.</li><li>Supplier &amp; Quality Support</li><li>Request and file supplier documents (W&#8209;9, COI, certs, compliance statements).</li><li>Support resolution of non&#8209;conforming material and corrective actions with vendors.</li><li>Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable standards.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, or related administrative role; manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.</li><li>Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication; professional phone/email etiquette.</li><li>High attention to detail, organization, and follow&#8209;through in a fast&#8209;paced setting.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.</li><li>Eligibility to work in the U.S.</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Familiarity with reading basic mechanical drawings (dimensions/tolerances).</li><li>Knowledge of common industrial materials (rubber, plastics, metals, adhesives) and UPS/Fed Ex freight basics.</li><li>Experience with vendor negotiations or cost&#8209;reduction projects.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Work Location: In person
