This paid position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable classroom experience in a collaborative and innovative school environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula aligned with educational standards and student needs</li><li>Prepare engaging lesson plans that incorporate various artistic techniques, mediums, and cultural perspectives</li><li>Deliver interactive art lessons to students of different ages, including early childhood education and preschool levels</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, respectful learning environment</li><li>Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with special needs, including those with autism or requiring individualized education plans (IEPs)</li><li>Assess student progress regularly through observations, projects, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, school events, and curriculum development initiatives</li><li>Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities</li><li>Uphold classroom management standards to ensure safety, organization, and a productive learning atmosphere</li><li>Incorporate literacy education, math integration, and Montessori principles where appropriate to enhance overall student development</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior classroom experience in art education or related fields is highly desirable</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content tailored to diverse learners across age groups</li><li>Experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings is preferred</li><li>Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices</li><li>Familiarity with special education strategies, including working with individuals with autism or other developmental needs</li><li>Background in private school environments or similar educational settings is advantageous</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues in a collaborative manner</li><li>Experience in tutoring or individualized instruction that supports childhood development goals</li></ul>Embark on this exciting journey where your artistic talents meet your passion for nurturing young minds.
