Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Assistant/Project Manager to join our creative team. This role combines innovative design support with effective project management to ensure seamless execution of architectural and interior design projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to residential interior design projects, renovation initiatives, and lighting design while honing your skills across a broad spectrum of CAD and BIM software.Duties<ul><li>Collaborate with designers and clients to develop conceptual sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD and Chief Architect</li><li>Prepare construction detail documentation and building code analysis to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.</li><li>Create compelling CAD presentations and renderings utilizing Chief Architect and AutoCAD</li><li>Manage multiple design projects from inception through completion, coordinating schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with clients and team members.</li><li>Conduct building information modeling (BIM) tasks for accurate project visualization and collaboration across disciplines.</li><li>Support client communication by presenting concepts, updates, and revisions professionally while managing contracts and ensuring project milestones are met.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Chief Architect</li><li>Strong understanding of drafting techniques, construction detail documentation, building code compliance, and BIM tools.</li><li>Experience in residential interior design projects including space planning, color theory application, lighting design, and remodeling processes.</li><li>Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Knowledge of building code analysis, construction processes, budgeting strategies, and client communication best practices.</li><li>Background in professional art or design fields is preferred; interior design experience is highly valued.</li><li>Strong organizational skills paired with effective verbal and written English communication abilities.</li></ul>Join us to be part of an innovative team dedicated to transforming spaces through creative design solutions!
