Design Assistant/Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Assistant/Project Manager to join our creative team. Duties

• Collaborate with designers and clients to develop conceptual sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD and Chief Architect
• Prepare construction detail documentation and building code analysis to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Create compelling CAD presentations and renderings utilizing Chief Architect and AutoCAD
• Manage multiple design projects from inception through completion, coordinating schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with clients and team members.
• Conduct building information modeling (BIM) tasks for accurate project visualization and collaboration across disciplines.
• Support client communication by presenting concepts, updates, and revisions professionally while managing contracts and ensuring project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Chief Architect
• Strong understanding of drafting techniques, construction detail documentation, building code compliance, and BIM tools.
• Experience in residential interior design projects including space planning, color theory application, lighting design, and remodeling processes.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of building code analysis, construction processes, budgeting strategies, and client communication best practices.
• Background in professional art or design fields is preferred; interior design experience is highly valued.
• Strong organizational skills paired with effective verbal and written English communication abilities.
