RESPONSIBILITIES:The Human Resource Clerk (HR Clerk) is responsible for providing administrative support to the agencies personnel department. HR Clerk will ensure files are complete and maintained as required. Knowledge of the Agency&rsquo;s personnel policies, office procedures and personnel service standards is required.DUTIES:1. Supports personnel by providing requested information consistent with Agency policy2. Types variety of documents in drafts and final form3. Directs visitors and employees to appropriate offices4. Provides front desk customer service5. Stores, copies and scans company policies6. Operates a variety of office tools, including computers, specialized software&rsquo;s, photocopiers, fax machines, and printers7. Updates internal databases with new hires&rsquo; data8. Files for active, terminated and prospective employees9. Establishes positive/neutral, relationship with employees within professional boundaries and in accordance with Agency policies10. Maintains employee files/records11. Checks references and organizing background checks12. Performs data entry of pertinent personnel information13. Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential14. Performs other duties within the administration scope of practice as needed by supervisor15. Participates in Agency/program performance and quality improvement projects16. Adheres to Agency safety protocolsQUALIFICATIONS:1. Associate of Science in Human Resources Management or its equivalent and one-to-two-year experience in clerical work2. Successful completion of a physical exam and TB test3. Live scan fingerprinting clearance for FBI, DOJ and CAI4. Valid California Driver&rsquo;s License and an insurable driving record5. Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communications skills6. Must work well under time constraints and deadlines, and have flexibility to function in a fast paced environment7. Demonstrated experience working with an ethnically, culturally and racially diverse employee populationsORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/INTERACTIONS1. Interfaces with all levels of management, staff, clients and families including partner agenciesPHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1. Must have the visual, physical and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office equipment including the use of a computer2. Must be capable of bending, stooping, filing, lifting of at least 25 lbs. and able to interrupt physical altercations3.
