Position SummaryEl Jefe&rsquo;s Grill is seeking an experienced Bartender who can craft high-quality cocktails and deliver an excellent guest experience. This role requires strong knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, the ability to make drinks from scratch, and a focus on speed, consistency, and presentation. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDrink Preparation<ul><li>Prepare high-quality cocktails, margaritas, and specialty drinks from scratch.</li><li>Follow house recipes and maintain consistency in flavor, portioning, and presentation.</li><li>Maintain strong knowledge of spirits, tequila, mezcal, beer, and wine.</li></ul>Guest Experience<ul><li>Provide friendly and professional service to guests at the bar.</li><li>Make recommendations and educate guests on drinks and menu offerings.</li><li>Create a welcoming and energetic bar atmosphere.</li></ul>Bar Operations<ul><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar.</li><li>Prep fresh ingredients such as juices, syrups, and garnishes.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Follow all liquor laws and ID verification requirements.</li><li>Ensure responsible alcohol service.</li><li>Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards.</li></ul>Team Support<ul><li>Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.</li><li>Assist with opening and closing duties including bar setup and breakdown.</li><li>Support the team during busy service periods.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years bartending experience in a restaurant or bar setting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and scratch cocktail preparation.</li><li>Experience working with tequila and mezcal preferred.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Experience with craft cocktails and fresh ingredients.</li><li>Experience in a high-energy restaurant environment.</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Hourly wage plus tips</li><li>Opportunity for growth as the restaurant expands</li></ul>Ideal Candidate<ul><li>Passionate about quality cocktails</li><li>Fast, organized, and consistent under pressure</li><li>Enjoys engaging with guests and creating a memorable experience.</li></ul>Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hourWork Location: In person
