This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop clinical skills while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist licensed occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic activities tailored to individual patient needs</li><li>Prepare treatment areas and gather necessary equipment for therapy sessions</li><li>Monitor patient responses during therapy, noting progress and any concerns for review by the therapist</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, including session details and observations</li><li>Support patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and assisting with mobility or positioning as directed</li><li>Communicate effectively with patients to encourage engagement and provide emotional support during therapy</li><li>Utilize medical terminology and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding to accurately document diagnoses and treatment plans</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience in patient service or healthcare settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided</li><li>Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient care</li><li>Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively within a team environment</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare certifications are a plus</li></ul>Embark on a fulfilling career path where your support helps patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
