Elemental FreightWe are an intermodal drayage company that specializes in efficient port-to-door transportation services.Looking for a CDL Class A driver to travel to ports for container delivery/pickup. Deliveries will then be made at our customer sites. Driver MUST have a valid CDL Class A &amp; Medical Card with a validTWIC Card. If you already have a Sealink Card that is great. Hazmat/Tanker endorsements are appreciated, but not required.Our company is looking to give drivers the compensation they deserve.This position is Monday through Friday during normal business hours.Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour + Responsibilities<ul><li>Pre-Trip and Post Trip inspections of the vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.</li><li>Meet pickup/delivery schedules</li><li>Comply with truck/port driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures</li><li>Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions</li><li>Collect/verify delivery and delivery instructions</li><li>Communicate with dispatch about any issues or delays</li><li>Report defects, accidents or violations</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Minimum two years experience as a truck driver (tractor trailers, etc)</li><li>Experience delivering/picking up at the ports preferred but not required. Will train.</li><li>Hands-on experience with electronic equipment (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)</li><li>Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations</li><li>No recent moving or driving violations</li><li>Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)</li><li>Valid CDL A truck driving license</li><li>Valid TWIC Card</li><li>Valid Sealink Card Required</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Newark, NJ 07105 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Newark, NJ 07105: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
