Job Summary:</b> -</p><p>
Responsible for operation, replacement, repair and maintenance of building related mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and other building mechanical systems. Work involves the lifting of heavy mechanical equipment and apparatus, and may be performed in areas of extreme heat or cold. Receives and responds to service calls, takes immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns. Oversees assigned utility mechanics, routine and preventive maintenance work.</p>
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of all related mechanical, electrical, control systems, air handling units, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and expansion joints.</li><li>
Install electrical circuits
</li><li>Repair all restroom fixtures, sweat/braze copper pipe, thread black pipe</li><li>
Drain &amp; &ldquo;safe off&rdquo; systems to facilitate repairs.</li><li>
Perform minor carpentry tasks, replace ceiling tiles, repair or replace door hardware, locks, panic bars etc.</li><li>
Perform minor electrical tasks to include bulb and ballast replacement.</li><li>
Clean coils in air handling units and convectors to maintain optimum heat exchange.</li><li>
Assemble, install, repair, and maintain chilled and hot water systems.</li><li>
Routine operation and inspection of emergency generator and associated components.</li><li>
Requisition necessary material to complete required repairs.</li><li>
Routine and preventive maintenance duties including filter changes, lubrication, control and performance check. Replace bearings, motors, and dampers.</li><li>
Inspect mechanical, electrical systems, trace electrical circuits, operate switchgear, record inspections, and write reports to Supervisors.</li><li>
Perform any additional duties on an as &ldquo;required&rdquo; basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Required Mechanical Trades or Trade School certification in location applicable disciplines i.e. HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulics, Plumbing.</li><li>
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the operation of central plant equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems.</li><li>
Experience &amp; proven ability to repair building electrical, plumbing, &amp; HVAC auxiliary systems</li><li>
Experience &amp; proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance</li><li>
Experience &amp; proven ability to Braze/Solder copper pie, thread black pipe</li><li>
Basic carpentry skills.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of operation of building auxiliary systems i.e. fire-life safety, stand by emergency generators</li><li>
Familiarity of general building systems i.e. vertical lift equipment, overhead doors.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations</li><li>
Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks</li><li>
Safely and skillfully use all types of related hand and power tools</li></ul><div>

Uses knowledge of material science, engineering theory, economics, and demographics to devise, oversee and plan static equipment project logistics, including rigging procedures, lifting plans, vessel design modifications, ASME code welding and other mechanical/civil engineer overview for project execution. Coordinates engineering logistics, development of procedural documentation and implementation plans with all relevant parties. Heavy emphasis on repair, alteration, and installation of Static Equipment. Knowledge and experience around Structural equipment integrity is essential (for pressure retaining equipment, and structural systems).</div><div><br>

Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li><div><ul><li>Explores the project&rsquo;s theoretical, mechanical, and logistical implementations and provides analysis to safely and efficiently complete project tasks.</li><li>
When applicable, collaborate directly with Client and or Subcontracted Engineering services for preparation, drafting, and verifying accuracy of drawings, schematics, product specifications, operation/service manuals, and other documentation necessary to facilitate project completion.
<ul><li>This could result in temporary site assignments (i.e., at a facility ~14-21 days, rare instances).</li></ul></li><li>
Prepares and/or reviews engineering change requests from customers; discusses impacts with Operations, Quality Control and Safety Departments; develop and oversee preparation and implementation of all engineering change notices and document change control.
</li><li>Provides Estimating, Sales, and Marketing Departments with project expectations including financial and man-power requirement for assigned task. Assists with preparation of sales presentations, service/repair methods, and marketing literature, and on-site presentations to customers regarding engineering logistics.
</li><li>Evaluate the strength, stability, and rigidity of structures using engineering principles and methods; assess the integrity of existing structures and recommend repairs or modifications as needed.</li></ul><ul><li>
Coordinates multiple turnaround projects simultaneously, maintains surveys of the progress of the work, and supervises as necessary project execution and or instructions/over-view to ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently.
</li><li>Selects crane(s), lifting hardware, and equipment necessary for safe work execution of medium, heavy, and critical lifts.</li><li>
Provides operational and technical direction to rigging crews and to other construction field engineers and construction personnel, including craft, regarding rigging-related construction processes, procedures, and requirements. May provide operational guidance to senior management team.</li><li>

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS</b></div><p>
The position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and has direct reporting and accounting responsibilities to other Department Directors and executives, as necessary.
</p>Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in either Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
</li><li>A minimum of 4 years&rsquo; experience required.
</li><li>4+ years of experience in construction rigging engineering discipline.</li><li>
Acknowledged industry understanding and experience in engineering for the use of lifting equipment, heavy lift cranes and specialized cranes, alternative heavy lifting systems, tailing techniques and equipment, rigging equipment, and transport/transfer of equipment, marine works, soil mechanics, load distribution systems, and structural design including ASME B30.20 BTH-1.</li><li>
An advanced broad-based theoretical knowledge in lifting/hauling equipment and techniques.</li><li>
Knowledge of applicable codes and legislation: the candidate is required to be fully knowledgeable and familiar with the legislation and code applying to lifting devices, rigging and heavy haul transport operations.</li><li>
An intermediate ability in structural design as it relates to lifting equipment and basic structures.</li><li>
An understanding of soil mechanics relates to lifting equipment and advanced ability in matting design to distribute crane loads into the ground.</li><li>
Refining and Chemical Sector experience preferred.
</li><li>A professional engineer (P.E.) or Engineering in Training (E.I.T.) preferred but not required.</li><li>
Knowledge and previous application of domestic Industry Codes pertaining to static equipment such as API/ASME/AISC/AWS/ASCE are essential.</li><li>
2D Drafting and 3D Modeling Experience with Autodesk platforms preferred.</li><li>
Experience with Rigging and Heavy Lift Operating Equipment would be advantageous but not required.
</li></ul>Physical Demands:
<ul><li>Regular travel by airplane and automobile in conducting business may be required, as well as overnight stays to visit project and customer locations.</li><li>
The ability to communicate orally with project management, corporate executives, customers, and other co-workers is important.</li><li>
Regular use of a variety of measuring tools, telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.</li><li>
Activities include extended periods of standing, sitting, or kneeling and extensive work in front of a computer monitor and or completing on-site client job walks, which may include climbing structures, utilizing a ladder, and / or other industrial activities associated with a site visit.</li><li>
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect unit plans, blueprints, and drawings.</li><li>
No manual heavy lifting is expected, without utilization of appropriate equipment, however, exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.</li><li>
Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, or measuring tools required.</li><li>
The job may be performed both indoors in an office setting and outdoors in a variety of settings including possible hazardous conditions associated with petrochemical facilities.</li><li>
Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and smoke may occur. Protective safety clothing may occasionally be required including appropriate construction grade boots, gloves, hard hat, goggles, pants, and shirts as needed.</li></ul><div>

<ul><li>Communicate daily with designers, superintendents, fab supervisors, and the fab manager regarding IRTs, foreman's kits, and related questions.</li><li>
Receive IRTs via email/call-ins, address questions with relevant personnel, confirm completion, track delays, schedule LTL/UPS pickup, provide tracking updates, and coordinate truck loading for site delivery.</li><li>
Process incoming kits by printing drawings, stamping, printing stock lists/label files, and uploading ITF files.</li><li>
Log in dates, weights, and welds into job track; maintain an updated truck schedule; send weekly stock list request emails to designers; and communicate on stock list errors.</li><li>
Take to the fab floor for pulling and loading</li><li>
Maintain attendance records, employee files, weekly attendance sheets for supervisors, log/print employee badges, and distribute checks to supervisors/employees.</li><li>
Assist HR with obtaining benefit paperwork for current/new hires, setting up and following up on interviews, processing reviews/raises, processing new employees/paperwork/benefit video viewing, and assisting the HR department with needed employee information.</li><li>
Answer incoming calls, order office supplies, and maintain various division file information (timesheets, project archives).</li><li>
Scan all shop employee timesheets and wage slips to the payroll department.</li><li>
