Our products are critical components in fiber-optic networks globally, and we are at the forefront of developing photonic integrated circuits (PICs) based on silicon platforms.Summary We are looking for a skilled Reliability &amp; Failure Analysis Engineer to join our team and help build the reliability framework for PLC-based optical chips and modules.You will play a key role in defining reliability methods, performing stress and aging tests, analyzing failures, and establishing standardized qualification processes.The ideal candidate combines optical communication reliability experience, materials knowledge, and an understanding of reliability challenges in AI data center environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute reliability test plans, including thermal cycling, damp heat, burn-in, and high-temperature storage.Perform failure analysis (SEM, FIB, spectroscopy) to identify degradation and failure mechanisms.Help establish a structured reliability framework covering data flow, SOPs, and qualification documentation.Build reliability models and lifetime predictions using statistical methods such as Weibull and Arrhenius analysis.Collaborate closely with design, process, and test teams to enhance product robustness, yield, and long-term stability.Stay current with industry standards (Telcordia GR-468/GR-1221, MIL-STD-883) and evolving AI data-center reliability requirements.Provide technical insights on materials selection and system interactions, including adhesive interfaces, hermetic sealing, delamination, and corrosion behavior.Maintain a solid understanding of fab processes and their impact on device reliability.QualificationsMaster&rsquo;s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical/Optical Engineering, or related field.3+ years of experience in reliability testing or failure analysis (optical, photonics, or semiconductor).Strong understanding of materials reliability, physics of failure, and statistical analysis.Hands-on experience with reliability and FA tools (chambers, burn-in, SEM/FIB).Preferred experience with optical or semiconductor packaging, including bonding, sealing, and material compatibility for long-term reliability.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: $105,409.44 - $126,944.70 per yearWork Location: In person
