Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to quality care and operational excellence.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes using Athenahealth</li><li>Verify patient insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing procedures including medical collection efforts</li><li>Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate with providers to optimize clinic flow</li><li>Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical and administrative skills</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is highly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and insurance processing including Medicare is essential</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA standards</li><li>Previous experience working at a front desk or in a dental or medical clinic is highly desirable</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>Join our team as a Medical Receptionist where your enthusiasm for healthcare administration will make a meaningful difference in patients&rsquo; experiences.
