Department:Design &amp; EngineeringReports To:Engineering Manager / Technical HeadJob Purpose:To design and develop pneumatic actuators and a wide range of industrial valves (Ball, Globe, Butterfly, V-notch, Plug). The role involves managing New Product Development (NPD), preparing ISO-compliant engineering documentation and drawings, ensuring compliance with global standards, and providing cross-functional technical support.Key Responsibilities:1. Design &amp; Development<ul><li>Design pneumatic actuators and valves in accordance with international standards including ISO 5211, ISO 5599, ISO 5208, and ISO 9001.</li><li>Ensure product designs meet customer requirements, functional performance, and manufacturing feasibility.</li><li>Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and exploded views using Catia, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools.</li><li>Apply GD&amp;T and ISO-based tolerancing, surface finishes, and material specifications.</li><li>Design support for existing products and design optimization for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.</li></ul>2. New Product Development (NPD)<ul><li>Lead or participate in the development of new valve and actuator products from concept to release.</li><li>Conduct DFMEA, design reviews, and prototype testing aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 practices.</li><li>Coordinate with quality, production, procurement, and marketing during product development stages.</li><li>Document technical design files, validation plans, and qualification test records.</li></ul>3. Engineering Documentation &amp; Standards<ul><li>Develop and maintain ISO-compliant:</li><li>General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)</li><li>Assembly and part drawings</li><li>BOMs and revision-controlled documents</li><li>Interpret and implement international standards such as:</li><li>ISO 5211 &ndash; Actuator mounting interface</li><li>ISO 5208 &ndash; Valve pressure testing</li><li>ISO 10497 &ndash; Fire test for valves</li><li>ASME B16.34, API 6D &ndash; Valve design &amp; pressure integrity</li></ul>4. Technical Support to All Departments<ul><li>Support production, quality control, sourcing, and sales with design-related inputs.</li><li>Review customer datasheets, P&amp;IDs, and technical specifications.</li><li>Participate in troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>5. Quality, Compliance &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Participate in internal and external ISO audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.</li><li>Propose design improvements, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>Stay updated on revisions of ISO, ASME, and API standards and modify design processes accordingly.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Expertise in pneumatic actuator sizing, valve design, and sealing technologies.</li><li>Proficiency in 3D CAD software like Catia, SolidWorks, and 2D tools like AutoCAD.</li><li>Strong grasp of GD&amp;T, engineering concepts, and drawing interpretation.</li><li>Knowledge of ISO and ASME design/testing standards.</li><li>Familiar with QMS practices, especially ISO 9001.</li><li>Strong communication, teamwork, time management, and a disciplined approach to engineering tasks.</li></ul>Educational &amp; Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.</li><li>1&ndash;7 years of experience in mechanical design related to valves and actuators.</li><li>Preferred experience in:</li><li>ISO 5211 actuator interface</li><li>ISO 5208 seat testing</li><li>NPD under ISO 9001 guidelines</li></ul>Desirable (Optional):<ul><li>Knowledge of ERP/PLM systems (SAP, Windchill, etc.).</li><li>Experience with FEA/CFD tools like ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.</li><li>Exposure to automation standards (IEC 61508, ISO 1219) for actuator/valve systems.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;11,507.75 - &#8377;25,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Is age between 23 to 30</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Mechanical design: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Preferred)</li><li>Marathi (Preferred)</li><li>Hindi (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
