Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for investigating, analyzing, and resolving procurement related issues across the Supply Chain and Accounts Payable system. This role focuses on researching problems and providing actionable solutions to ensure smooth purchasing operations, compliance, and vendor satisfaction. This role is critical to financial reporting accuracy and to prevent vendor overpayments.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Research procurement related issues, discrepancies and supplier issues with invoicing and purchase order matching</li>
<li>Invoice and Purchas Order Reconciliation
<ul><li>Act as primary contact person for resolution of discrepancies in pricing, receipts, and invoicing</li>
</ul></li><li>Communicate directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and to ensure strong vendor relationships are maintained</li>
<li>Use of Financia and Supply Chain data to analyze trends in exceptions, identify root cause of problems, and recommend process changes to reduce future discrepancies</li>
<li>Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure all invoices are cleared and ready for payment</li>
<li>Review vendor statements and reach out for any missing invoices and/or receipt issues</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or GED required, College courses in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration preferred</li>
<li>2-5 years' experience in a corporate or business setting with some Supply Chain experience</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, verbal and written</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail</li>
