&lt;Job Overview&gt; We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal administrative expertise while contributing to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment.&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and clarity.</li><li>Manage legal case files and document management systems such as Clio to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of case information.</li><li>Conduct thorough document review for accuracy, completeness, and relevance; support discovery processes through organized document review and indexing.</li><li>Support project management activities by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining detailed calendars for multiple cases or projects.</li><li>Perform administrative duties such as phone etiquette, organizing files, maintaining schedules, and providing executive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.</li></ul>&lt;Skills&gt;<ul><li>Extensive knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with legal case management software is a plus.</li><li>Strong understanding of various practice areas including probate law, family law, criminal defense, civil litigation and personal injury law.</li><li>Proven experience with legal administrative tasks such as document review, proofreading, transcription, filing systems &amp; document management systems like Clio.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette.</li><li>Strong writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents that are clear and precise.</li><li>Proficiency in data entry and clerical experience including file organization and record keeping.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
