In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that all dishes and kitchenware are sanitized and ready for service. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a smooth-running operation.Responsibilities<ul><li>Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.</li><li>Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as bussing tables or organizing supplies when needed.</li><li>Support the kitchen team during busy periods by helping with food handling and basic cleaning tasks.</li><li>Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards are met.</li><li>Help with general cleaning duties around the restaurant to keep the environment safe and inviting.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure timely turnover of dishes during service hours.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required.</li><li>Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on cleanliness and safety.</li><li>Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food prep.</li><li>Good communication skills for effective teamwork with front-of-house and kitchen staff.</li><li>A positive attitude with a focus on supporting team efforts in a lively restaurant setting.
