This includes creating a comfortable, spa-like environment to ensure patients feel at ease and receive next-level patient care.While we initially operated via telemedicine for over 2 years, we are now opening our flagship brick and mortar office in Tysons Corner and are looking for long-term, &ldquo;high touch&rdquo; innovative thinkers to join our team!Job Description:Everest Health is seeking experienced Medical Assistants with high emotional intelligence and a thirst for learning to join our clinical team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our flagship office.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Take patient vitals and assist physicians as requested.</li><li>Follow up on appointments via phone calls.</li><li>Provide trained education and coaching via telemedicine.</li><li>Perform and assist with all duties related to laboratory testing and specimen collection.</li><li>Administer non-intravenous injections and assist with front office and administrative tasks.</li><li>Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization.</li><li>Open and close office duties, including organizing schedules and completing referrals.</li><li>Monitor and manage supply inventory and ordering.</li><li>Perform EKGs, VO2max tests, and other measures of functional and cardiovascular health.</li><li>Provide education and coaching for lifestyle and behavioral health modifications.</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, and State of Virginia regulations.</li><li>Participate in continuous education to maintain qualifications.</li></ul>Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>Medical Assistant Certification or at least 2 years of experience with a learning attitude.</li><li>1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or ambulatory care setting</li><li>Computer literacy and familiarity with EMR</li><li>Proficiency in phlebotomy and various specimen collection techniques.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and State of Virginia regulatory protocols</li><li>CPR certification</li><li>1-2 years experience in medical supplies ordering and inventory-management</li><li>1-2 years experience in prescription monitoring and ordering and prior-authorizations</li><li>Startup attitude: creative, eager to learn, and excellent critical-thinking skills</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication, and writing skills</li></ul>Personal Skills:<ul><li>Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding, and relationships with patients.</li><li>Welcomes (including eye contact, smile, greeting, and personal introduction) the patient and secondary guest(s) to the clinic, ensuring comfort and anticipating needs.</li><li>Has attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and communication with patients and providers.</li><li>Feels personal ownership in providing excellent care and patient experience as a team through highly choreographed standard work; never satisfied with reaching measured goals, but strives to continually improve.</li><li>Identifies and participates in process improvement and problem solving in the work to decrease defects/barriers, enhance patient satisfaction and experience, and reduce waste and/or cost.</li><li>Has commitment to providing excellent patient care.</li></ul>At Everest Health, we value innovation, compassion, and a commitment to excellence.
