If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong analysis and communication skills, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact in transportation management.Duties<ul><li>Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.</li><li>Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.</li><li>Manage dispatching activities through multi-line phone systems, providing clear instructions to drivers and carriers while maintaining professional phone etiquette.</li><li>Enter accurate data into logistics platforms including AS400 and 3PL shipping &amp; receiving systems to monitor shipment statuses and update records promptly.</li><li>Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve scheduling conflicts or delays, ensuring smooth operations.</li><li>Monitor fleet management systems to oversee vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements within supply chain logistics and transportation planning.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.</li><li>Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight operations, and shipping &amp; receiving procedures.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.</li><li>Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating routing efficiencies and logistics data.</li><li>Knowledge of GPS, GIS technologies, fleet management tools, and warehouse software like SyteLine or AS400 is highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to perform precise data entry with high attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
