Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: <ul> <li>Construct 3D geological models of lithology, structure and mineralisation</li> <li>Use appropriate resource estimation techniques such as ordinary kriging to build high quality, accurate block models</li> <li>Reconcile updated resource block models against previous block models, grade control models and historical production</li> <li>Ensure the integrity of the geological database and master geological files on the network server</li> <li>Identify exploration targets and contribute to developing drilling budgets that will upgrade the mineral resource</li> <li>Preparing mineral resource technical reports and presentationsfor resource model estimationsto communicate risks and opportunities to management, engineers and other stakeholders</li> <li>Liaise with Mining Engineers to develop optimum mining limits, mine designs, dilution, ore recoveries, and schedules</li> <li>Develop standards, processes and other tools compliant with 2012 JORC Code guidelines. Ensure systems, standards and procedures for estimations are applied and drive resource estimation accuracy and quality.</li> </ul> About you The Senior Resource Geologist role presents the opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join an operation that fosters and encourages development. It is important that you have/ can demonstrate: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology</li> <li>Minimum 5 years' experience as a geologist in mining. Underground, narrow vein gold is highly desirable.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years' experience in resource estimation producing JORC compliant block models and documentation</li> <li>Good knowledge of geostatistics and block model validation</li> <li>Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation</li> <li>Experience using Datamine, Leapfrog and Snowden Supervisor (desirable, but not essential)</li> <li>Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements</li> <li>Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values</li> </ul> You will be either a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area and work a 5:2:4:3 (10-hour day), or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday. About the role Reporting to the Underground Mining Superintendent, we are looking to appoint an Underground Senior Supervisor to provide operational leadership at Mungari Operations.You will work closely with the engineering team planning the integrated operational details to allow you the time to play a key role in the field leading mine development and production.<ul><li>Leading, mentoring and supervising underground mining teams, including supervisors, operators and support personnel.</li><li>Oversee production activities to ensure the achievement of daily and weekly production goals.</li><li>Conduct daily toolbox meetings and provide clear direction on shift priorities and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Ensure flexibility and readiness to execute tasks and directives as required by the Superintendent to meet the evolving needs of the operation.</li><li>Be directly responsible for planning the weekly operational plan with the Technical Services team, ensuring it includes the necessary operational details for safe and effective execution.</li><li>Work with engineering and geology teams to ensure optimal ore extraction and grade control.</li><li>Coordinate and monitor the use of equipment and resources to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.</li><li>Support the Underground Mining Superintendent to ensure performance, behaviour, and development of your teams is in line with Evolution's values and business objectives.</li></ul> About you As the Underground Senior Supervisor you will have extensive experience working in an underground production environment at Supervisor level and will have demonstrated how you have successfully led teams to safely deliver to plan. It is anticipated that you hold a current WA Underground Supervisor's Certificate and associated competencies under the new legislation. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:<ul><li>Minimum 5-7 years of experience in underground mining, with at least two years in a supervisory role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, equipment, and safety regulations.</li><li>Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.</li><li>Proficient in using mine planning software and be familiar with Short Interval Control processes (highly regarded).</li></ul> Our commitment We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce that represents the communities in which we operate.
