This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, tree care, and landscape maintenance while contributing to community beautification projects.Duties<ul><li>Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches safely for pruning and removal.</li><li>Use rigging techniques to secure and dismantle trees or large limbs efficiently and safely.</li><li>Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and prevent hazards.</li><li>Assist with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening tasks to support overall site aesthetics.</li><li>Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape projects.</li><li>Apply knowledge of horticulture principles to identify plant health issues and recommend appropriate care.</li><li>Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers, and other landscaping tools in excellent condition.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Growing experience or background in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields is preferred.</li><li>Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other heavy machinery safely.</li><li>Knowledge of rigging techniques for tree dismantling or limb removal.</li><li>Familiarity with GIS technology for landscape planning is a plus.</li><li>Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and disease management.</li><li>Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects as needed.</li><li>Excellent attention to safety protocols and teamwork skills to ensure a secure work environment.
