Duties

• Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches safely for pruning and removal.
• Use rigging techniques to secure and dismantle trees or large limbs efficiently and safely.
• Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and prevent hazards.
• Assist with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening tasks to support overall site aesthetics.
• Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape projects.
• Apply knowledge of horticulture principles to identify plant health issues and recommend appropriate care.
• Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers, and other landscaping tools in excellent condition.

Requirements

• Growing experience or background in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other heavy machinery safely.
• Knowledge of rigging techniques for tree dismantling or limb removal.
• Familiarity with GIS technology for landscape planning is a plus.
• Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and disease management.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
