 We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join a highly technical and collaborative engineering team based in Gorinchem on a Hybrid basis.  Key Responsibilities

 Design and evolve scalable software architectures that support long-term maintainability and technical sustainability.

 Develop and maintain backend and full-stack software solutions using Microsoft technologies and modern development frameworks.

 Work within complex software environments, including legacy systems, enterprise applications, and embedded software components.

 Your Profile
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience as a Senior Software Developer or Senior Software Engineer working on complex software systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET technologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience designing and delivering scalable, maintainable backend solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working within Agile Scrum development environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work effectively within both modern and legacy software landscapes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong sense of ownership and accountability for software delivery.

 Fluent in both English and Dutch.

 The role
 
 
 
 We're looking for a hands-on engineering leader to own the full automation landscape across our aluminum casting and machining operations. You'll lead a team of controls engineers and technicians, drive our automation strategy, and play a central role in our Industry 4.0 transformation &mdash; from PLC systems and robotics to MES integration and predictive maintenance.
 
 
 This isn't a purely strategic role. We want someone equally comfortable presenting a capital project roadmap and rolling up their sleeves on the shop floor when a casting line goes down.

 Controls &amp; automation

 Capital automation projects from concept through commissioning &mdash; managing budgets, timelines, integrators, and vendors

 What we're looking for
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field
 </li>
 <li>
 7&ndash;10+ years in automation/controls engineering, with 3&ndash;5+ years in a leadership role
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens)
 </li>
 <li>
 Robotics integration experience in casting or machining environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Foundry, die casting, or heavy industrial manufacturing background preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with MES, ERP integration, and data analytics platforms
 </li>
 <li>
 Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) desirable
 </li>
