POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting and Payroll Manager is responsible for both overseeing and directly executing the day-to-day operations and monthly closing aspects of payroll and general ledger accounting process in accordance with GAAP.
This position plays an active role in the preparation and review of financial statements, accounts payable and expense reimbursements, reconciliation reports, and payroll processing, while also managing the workflows and standards that support accurate and timely reporting. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Processes Payroll in accordance with company policies</li>
<li>Assists in the review and processing of Accounts payable and expense reports and 1099s as necessary</li>
<li>Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.</li>
<li>Manage the account reconciliations on a timely basis.</li>
<li>Responsible for the preparation of financial statements and statistical reports as required.</li>
<li>Manage and maintain standard month end reconciliations for areas of responsibility like, but not limited to:</li>
<li>Bank account reconciliations and related GL posting</li>
<li>Fixed asset additions, retirements, depreciation</li>
<li>Reconciliation of sub ledgers to the associated GL account</li>
<li>Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial information for areas of responsibility</li>
<li>Ensure that GAAP is followed at all times and revenue recognition is timely and accurate</li></ul> 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
<ul><li>BS degree in Accounting with minimum 4-5 years general ledger experience</li>
<li>Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, V-look-ups, macros, etc)</li>
<li>Experience in dynamics business central or ADP payroll preferred</li>
<li>Working knowledge of GAAP</li>
<li>Team player with a strong work ethic, outgoing personality and a &ldquo;can-do&rdquo; attitude.</li>
<li>Extremely organized with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Ability to react quickly to changing priorities</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Familiar with a month-end and quarter-end close process.</li>
<li>Experience in Inventory/Cost Accounting is desirable.</li></ul> 

WORK ENVIRONMENT
A collaborative, open space work environment located on the second floor of the 40,000 sq. foot facility located in Broomfield, Colorado. The Accounts Payable Specialist sits with the Accounting and Finance team, these members share a common desk area. There are approximately 50 employees in the 40,000 sq. ft Broomfield corporate facility, which houses multiple quiet telephone booths and a large employee breakroom for the employees&rsquo; use.

Salary range for the Accounting &amp; Payroll Manager position is $90,000-$100,000 annually based on education and prior experience.</div>
