Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ophthalmic Scribe/Surgical Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and streamlining ophthalmic procedures. In this energetic position, you will assist ophthalmologists by accurately documenting patient encounters, managing medical records, and coordinating surgical schedules. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in ophthalmology while contributing to a compassionate healthcare environment.Duties<ul><li>Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation</li><li>Assist ophthalmologists with preparing for surgical procedures by coordinating schedules and verifying patient information</li><li>Manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain organized, up-to-date patient files</li><li>Support the medical team by verifying patient demographics, insurance information, and consent forms prior to procedures</li><li>Facilitate communication between patients, surgeons, and staff to ensure clarity of instructions and appointment details</li><li>Maintain precise records of surgical cases, including pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up notes</li><li>Demonstrate physiology and anatomy knowledge to accurately document complex ophthalmic conditions and procedures</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience in a Medical office setting or healthcare environment preferred, especially within ophthalmology.</li><li>Strong transcription skills with the ability to quickly and accurately convert spoken notes into written documentation</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient data entry and record management</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmic procedures to support accurate documentation</li><li>Excellent typing skills with high speed and accuracy to keep pace with clinical workflows</li><li>Experience with medical records management, including maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits<ul><li>Compensation based on experience and qualification</li></ul>To apply for this one-of-a-kind opportunity, forward resume and salary history in confidence to: &hellip;EOEDrug Free WorkplacePay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
