If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about improving patients&rsquo; oral health, this is the perfect opportunity to advance your career in a supportive and innovative practice.Duties<ul><li>Assist dentists during patient examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and dental supplies using aseptic techniques.</li><li>Take and develop X-ray images with precision, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and privacy.</li><li>Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical history.</li><li>Perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient care.</li><li>Provide chairside assistance during procedures involving endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatric dentistry, supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.</li><li>Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment areas, and following strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.</li><li>Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance details, and managing patient flow seamlessly throughout the day.</li><li>Assist with dental imaging procedures using advanced tools like 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including HIPAA for confidentiality and infection control guidelines for clinical safety.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current state licensure or registration.</li><li>Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices.</li><li>Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices.</li><li>Skilled in taking X-rays and operating medical imaging equipment safely and effectively.</li><li>Familiarity with dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to perform vital signs assessments accurately and support patients of all ages including pediatrics.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide compassionate patient care.
