<b>Key Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Utility Identification: Use specialized equipment and tools, such as pipe and cable locators, to accurately identify the presence and depth of underground utilities.</li>
<li>Marking and Flagging: Once utilities are identified, the locator must clearly mark their positions on the ground using appropriate marking materials, such as paint, flags, or stake.</li>
<li>Collaboration: Work closely with construction crews, contractors, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate utility locating activities and ensure that projects proceed safely and efficiently.</li>
<li>Works with various software programs including Korterra, 3GIS mapping to track, identify and report locate tickets.</li>
<li>Documents work completed with quality, accurate and descriptive photos.</li>
<li>Works on call as scheduled to respond to after-hours emergency tickets.</li>
<li>Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest utility locating techniques, equipment and safety practices to enhance job performance and maintain industry standards.</li>
 <li>Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills when dealing with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed promptly.</li>
</ul><div><b>Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>Previous experience in utility locating, construction, surveying, or a related field is advantageous.</li>
<li>Familiarity with utility maps, blueprints, and survey drawings is beneficial.</li>
<li>Ability to operate utility locating equipment and interpret data accurately.</li>
<li>Strong physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently.</li>
<li>Proficient in basic computer applications for data entry and reporting.</li>
<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and clients.</li>

<ul><li>Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables to ensure proper functioning of network infrastructure.</li>
<li>Perform maintenance and repairs on existing fiber optic connections, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.</li>
<li>Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of fiber optic installations and identify potential obstacles or hazards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop efficient network layouts and configurations.</li>
<li>Adhere to industry standards and regulations for fiber optic installation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.</li>
<li>Keep detailed records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documenting any changes made to network configurations.</li>
<li>Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.</li>
<li>Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner.</li>
<li>Utilize specialized tools and equipment, such as fusion splicers and OTDRs, to perform fiber optic tasks accurately and effectively.</li>
<li>Stay informed about advancements in fiber optic technology and industry best practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.</li>

<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in fiber optics preferred.</li>
<li>Proven experience working with fiber optic networks, including installation, splicing, and testing.</li>
<li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for fiber optic infrastructure.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in outdoor environments and at elevated heights.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record.</li>
