Job Summary Faith Islamic Academy is seeking passionate and energetic Elementary School Reading and Social Studies teachers to inspire and guide students in grades 1 through 4. This dynamic role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting the holistic development of young learners. You will play a vital role in shaping students' academic journeys while promoting social-emotional growth and lifelong learning habits.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for reading, social studies, math, and literacy education.</li><li>Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, collaboration, and respect among students.</li><li>Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.</li><li>Conduct assessments, including standardized testing preparations, to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.</li><li>Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention strategies.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development, including special education needs and early childhood education initiatives.</li><li>Incorporate library services and educational resources to enrich the curriculum.</li><li>Mentor new teachers or interns as part of education administration duties, fostering professional growth within the school community.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficient use of the English language: grammar, punctuation, diction, and fluency.</li><li>Proven classroom experience working with children in grades 1-4, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively.</li><li>Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education strategies.</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.</li><li>Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital resources to support instruction.</li><li>Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.</li><li>Strong writing skills for creating clear lesson plans, reports, and educational materials.</li><li>Experience with standardized testing preparation and assessment analysis.</li><li>Skills in mentoring fellow educators or supporting classroom assistants to foster a collaborative environment.</li><li>Understanding of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
