Job Summary
Faith Islamic Academy is seeking passionate and energetic Elementary School Reading and Social Studies teachers to inspire and guide students in grades 1 through 4. This dynamic role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting the holistic development of young learners. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for reading, social studies, math, and literacy education.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, collaboration, and respect among students.
- Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Conduct assessments, including standardized testing preparations, to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development, including special education needs and early childhood education initiatives.
- Incorporate library services and educational resources to enrich the curriculum.
- Mentor new teachers or interns as part of education administration duties, fostering professional growth within the school community.
Skills
- Proficient use of the English language: grammar, punctuation, diction, and fluency.
- Proven classroom experience working with children in grades 1-4, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education strategies.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital resources to support instruction.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Strong writing skills for creating clear lesson plans, reports, and educational materials.
- Experience with standardized testing preparation and assessment analysis.
- Skills in mentoring fellow educators or supporting classroom assistants to foster a collaborative environment.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
