Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Afterschool Teacher and a Assistant Teacher to inspire and guide children in a dynamic afterschool environment. In this role, you will lead engaging educational activities, foster a safe and nurturing space, and support children&rsquo;s social, emotional, and academic development. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working in a vibrant, community-focused setting.Duties<ul><li>Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children.</li><li>Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles and cater to diverse learning needs.</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children&rsquo;s progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during the program.</li><li>Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with childcare licensing regulations and safety protocols such as first aid procedures.</li><li>Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care aligned with best practices in special education.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare programs.</li><li>Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies suitable for early childhood education.</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or Christian counseling are a plus.</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.</li><li>Ability to lead activities that foster childhood development across cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and creative domains.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.</li><li>Passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and supporting their growth through engaging activities like theater, sports coaching, babysitting techniques, or other enrichment programs.
