If you take pride in excellence, love being part of a high-performing team, and want to grow in your career, you might be exactly who we&rsquo;re looking for.About the Role<ul><li>Assist the dentist chairside during exams, restorative procedures, extractions, and other treatments</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in advance of each patient appointment</li></ul><ul><li>Perform EFDA procedures as permitted by state law and delegated by the supervising dentist, including but not limited to: placing and finishing restorations, taking impressions and leading the process to seat crowns</li></ul><ul><li>Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the practice management system</li></ul><ul><li>Provide post-operative instructions and follow up with patients as directed</li></ul>Patient ExperienceA great dental assistant does not just assist &mdash; they make patients feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for from the moment they sit down.<ul><li>Set the tone throughout all patient interactions - warm, calm, and professional</li></ul><ul><li>Guide patients through each step so they feel informed and at ease</li></ul><ul><li>Recognize and support anxious patients with empathy and confidence</li></ul><ul><li>Be a steady, reassuring presence throughout every visit</li></ul><ul><li>Reflect the practice&rsquo;s commitment to exceptional care in every patient interaction, every single day</li></ul>Clinical Operations &amp; Efficiency<ul><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked operatory at all times</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate proactively with the tream to flag delays, patient concerns, or schedule changes</li></ul><ul><li>Support the overall flow of the practice by staying flexible and stepping in where needed</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are followed without exception</li></ul>Team Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and front office staff to deliver a seamless experience for every patient</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate clearly and in real time &mdash; clinical notes, schedule updates, patient flags</li></ul><ul><li>Bring a positive, team-first attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever the team needs you</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in morning huddles, team meetings, and practice improvement conversations</li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to a culture of learning, consistency, and high standards</li></ul>What You Bring<ul><li>Active Expanded Function Dental Assistant certificate and CPR/BLS certification</li></ul><ul><li>1+ years of EFDA experience in a clinical dental setting preferred</li></ul><ul><li>Genuine warmth and a natural ability to make patients feel comfortable and cared for</li></ul><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized under pressure</li></ul><ul><li>Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up as a full contributor every day</li></ul><ul><li>Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset</li></ul>Success in This Role Looks Like<ul><li>The doctor is confident, knowing you have everything ready and handled</li></ul><ul><li>Patients leave their appointments feeling genuinely well cared for &mdash; and they come back</li></ul><ul><li>You work proactively with the team with goals of running on time, keeping the office spotless, and rooms are always stocked and ready</li></ul><ul><li>Anxious patients leave calmer than they arrived and as a raving fan, because of how you showed up for them</li></ul><ul><li>The clinical team moves efficiently and communicates seamlessly, with you as a dependable part of that flow</li></ul><ul><li>You are someone the whole practice counts on &mdash; clinically sharp, warm with patients, and great to work with</li></ul>About Family DentistryFamily Dentistry is a place where team members feel supported, valued, and genuinely excited to come to work each day.
