JOB FUNCTION: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise in performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting is essential in helping us maintain a well-maintained and efficient environment. Maintenance Technician (Evening, Full-Time)

JOB FUNCTION: As a Fleet Maintenance Technician you will repair and maintain fleet equipment and assist with snow removal. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li> Maintain work area cleanliness and safety</li><li> Perform all levels of preventive maintenance and services on fleet and campus equipment</li><li> Complete repair orders accurately and legibly with all necessary information</li><li> Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engine, transmissions and differentials, to include replacing complete assemblies, fuel system components etc.</li><li> Utilize OEM Software to preform diagnostic solutions of fleet vehicles</li><li> Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications</li><li> Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly</li><li> Assign priority and process vehicle repair work orders</li><li> Provide accurate documentation and filing</li><li> Work safely, effectively, and cooperatively with team members, supervisors, drivers, dispatchers, and outside services</li><li> Assist snow removal team at the wholesale complex</li><li> Other duties as assigned</li></ul> BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li> Must be at least 18 years old or older</li><li> High school diploma or equivalent</li><li> Valid driver's license with ability to obtain Class A CDL</li><li> Thermo King / Carrier repair experience</li><li> Diesel and heavy equipment / trailer mechanic skills</li><li> Basic computer skills (diagnostic and administrative)</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS: <ul><li> Mechanic work on, under, or in vehicles for 6+ hours a day</li><li> Computer keyboard work sitting for up to 2 hours at a time</li><li> Occasional walking, crawling and climbing</li><li> Often preforming lifting, pushing, and pulling activities</li></ul> TYPICAL EQUIPMENT USED: <ul><li> A variety of tools and equipment are used for class 8 heavy duty vehicle repairs, hand tools, computer diagnostics, tire machines, etc. </li><li> Equipment- Detroit, Volvo, Cummins, Thermo King, Carrier, etc. </li></ul> WORK ENVIRONMENT: <ul><li> Exposure to varying temperatures </li><li> Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, oils, gases, and fumes </li><li> Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and hot temperatures </li><li> Occasional moderate to loud truck shop noise </li></ul> BENEFITS: <ul><li> Paid Holidays </li><li> Paid Time Off </li><li> Paid Parental Leave </li><li> Flexible Scheduling </li><li> Employee Discount </li><li> Weekly Pay </li><li> On-the-job, paid training </li><li> Comprehensive Medical/Rx </li><li> Health Savings Account </li><li> Flex Spending Account - Medical </li><li> Dental and Vision Insurance </li><li> Company Paid Short Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance/AD&D </li><li> Supplemental Life Insurance </li><li> Long Term Disability </li><li> Critical Illness Insurance </li><li> Accident Insurance </li><li> 401(l) Retirement Planning (With company match) </li><li> Dependent Care Reimbursement Account </li><li> Student Loan Paydown Program </li></ul> For more information, please call Bret Grimes at (515)- or Blake Linsenmeyer at (515)-.
