As we continue to scale, we are building a best-in-class team of Project Managers and Superintendents to support our growth.The OpportunityWe are seeking a HR, Talent &amp; Performance Manager to take ownership of how we recruit, hire, develop, and support our team.This is not a traditional HR role.You will be responsible for building a high-performance organization by:<ul><li>Recruiting top-tier talent</li><li>Implementing structured hiring systems</li><li>Developing training programs</li><li>Managing HR processes and employee lifecycle</li><li>Tracking and improving employee performance through KPIs</li></ul>You will work directly with leadership and play a key role in scaling the company.Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition &amp; Pipeline Development<ul><li>Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of:</li><li>Project Managers</li><li>Superintendents</li><li>Assistant Project Managers</li><li>Proactively recruit from competitors and industry networks</li><li>Screen and present top candidates to leadership</li></ul>Hiring Process &amp; Systems<ul><li>Develop structured hiring processes and role scorecards</li><li>Coordinate interviews and candidate evaluations</li><li>Conduct meaningful reference checks focused on performance</li></ul>Onboarding &amp; Training<ul><li>Create and manage 30-60-90 day onboarding programs</li><li>Develop training systems for:</li><li>Project management processes</li><li>Field execution standards</li><li>High-end quality expectations</li><li>Support mentorship and internal development</li></ul>Performance Management &amp; KPI Tracking<ul><li>Define and track KPIs for all employees and new hires:</li><li>Project Managers (budget, schedule, client satisfaction, margins)</li><li>Superintendents (schedule adherence, quality, subcontractor performance, safety)</li><li>Build and maintain performance dashboards</li><li>Lead monthly performance reviews with team members</li><li>Partner with leadership to tie performance to compensation and growth</li></ul>HR &amp; Employee Lifecycle Management<ul><li>Manage core HR functions, including:</li><li>Employee onboarding and documentation</li><li>Benefits coordination and administration</li><li>Employee relations and issue resolution</li><li>Policy development and compliance (CA labor laws, etc.)</li><li>Maintain employee records and ensure HR compliance</li><li>Support leadership in handling performance issues and terminations professionally and consistently</li></ul>Retention &amp; Culture Development<ul><li>Conduct regular employee check-ins and engagement initiatives</li><li>Identify retention risks and implement proactive solutions</li><li>Help build clear career paths and advancement opportunities</li><li>Support a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>5+ years in recruiting, HR, or talent management (construction or related industry preferred)</li><li>Proven ability to recruit and close high-quality candidates</li><li>Experience managing HR processes and employee relations</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li><li>Data-driven mindset with experience tracking performance metrics or KPIs</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment</li></ul>What Sets You Apart<ul><li>Experience hiring Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, general office staff</li><li>Background in construction, real estate development, or a related industry</li><li>Strong instincts for identifying top performers vs. average candidates</li><li>Experience building HR systems and processes from the ground up</li><li>Passion for building teams and improving performance</li></ul>Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
