The Fife Lake Public Library is seeking a dependable, community-oriented individual to join our team as a Substitute Library Clerk. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily library operations and delivering high-quality service to our patrons.Schedule Requirement:Must be available to work Saturdays.Hours will vary as needed.Position OverviewThis position is responsible for a wide range of duties including circulation services, materials management, and patron assistance. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, helpful demeanor.Key ResponsibilitiesCirculation &amp; Collection Management<ul><li>Perform all circulation functions</li><li>Process discarded materials</li><li>Prepare RIDES deliveries</li></ul>Daily Operations<ul><li>Empty drop box and check in materials</li><li>Shelve materials and maintain accurate shelf order</li><li>Provide circulation desk and receptionist support</li><li>Assist patrons with locating materials, services, and equipment</li><li>Offer reader&rsquo;s advisory services</li></ul>Technology &amp; Patron Support<ul><li>Assist patrons with public computers, internet use, email, and basic software</li><li>Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar)</li><li>Know, or learn library apps and technology services</li><li>Maintain and assist with library equipment</li></ul>Administrative &amp; Facility Support<ul><li>Attend conferences and seminars and report key information to the Library Board</li><li>Assist with general building maintenance including snow shoveling, garbage removal, and light cleaning</li></ul>Customer Service<ul><li>Address patron questions and concerns with tact, professionalism, and courtesy</li></ul>Additional Duties<ul><li>This position has room for advancement.
