Sales Manager -Mortgage

Sales Strategy & Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans for personal loans.Set sales targets for the team and monitor progress against KPIs. Identify potential customer segments and explore new business opportunities.Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns that generate qualified leads.Conduct competitor analysis and recommend strategies for market positioning.Team Leadership & ManagementRecruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team (targeted team strength to be 100+ employees) Conduct daily/weekly sales meetings to review targets, pipeline, and challenges. Provide coaching and mentoring to improve selling techniques, objection handling, and compliance awareness.Manage performance appraisals, incentive structures, and disciplinary actions where required.Ensure a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer-centric service.Customer Acquisition & Relationship ManagementDrive lead generation activities including branch walk-ins, digital channels, referrals, and partnerships.Oversee the sales process from prospecting to loan disbursement. Maintain relationships with high-value customers and institutional partners.Ensure prompt resolution of customer queries and complaints.Portfolio & Credit Quality Management Ensure all loan applications meet company credit policies and regulatory requirements. Review loan files for accuracy and completeness before submission to credit teams. Maintain acceptable portfolio quality by implementing proactive risk controls. Track and report loan disbursement volumes vs. target achievement.Compliance & Governance Ensure 100% compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and central bank regulations.Train the sales team on KYC, AML, and responsible lending practices.Maintain accurate documentation and timely submission of MIS reports. Implement ethical selling practices with no misrepresentation of loan terms.Reporting & Performance TrackingPrepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.Track productivity per sales officer, conversion ratios, and lead-to-loan cycles. Present sales performance and portfolio health updates to senior management.
