Job Overview Join our vibrant summer team as a Teacher for our Pre-K Summer Camp, where your enthusiasm and expertise will ignite young minds and foster a love for learning! In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for preschool-aged children, guiding their early childhood development through fun activities, educational play, and positive interactions. Your energy and dedication will help make this summer unforgettable for both children and families alike!Duties<ul><li>Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, social skills, creativity, and physical development.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment.</li><li>Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times through vigilant classroom management.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow staff to coordinate camp schedules, special events, and themed activities that enhance the summer experience.</li><li>Provide first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and camp updates.</li><li>Support children with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs), applying principles of special education when appropriate.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, tutoring, or childcare programs.</li><li>Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in classroom management.</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.</li><li>Strong skills in behavior management, patience, and the ability to foster a nurturing environment.</li><li>Ability to engage children through creative play, arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater activities or other interactive methods.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and campers.</li><li>Background in teaching or early childhood education is highly desirable.
