Our core founding team includes tenured Amazon alumni who have built and scaled multiple billion-dollar businesses.About the RoleExperience: 5&ndash;7 years in Supply Chain Procurement, Network Design, and Process ImprovementRequirement: ImmediateWork Mode: Work from OfficeLocation: BengaluruShift: May extend till 11 PM IST to work with global vendors (US/Europe time zones)We are seeking a dynamic Procurement &amp; Ops Excellence Manager to own procurement strategy, design a scalable global freight network, and drive continuous improvement across lanes. This role combines vendor management, network design, and process optimization &mdash; and works closely with our Geo Heads to deliver superior cost, reliability, and service.Key Responsibilities1. Procurement &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Own procurement strategy across assigned geographies (ocean, air, drayage, warehousing, last-mile).</li><li>Source, negotiate, and finalize rate contracts with carriers, consolidators, and trucking vendors.</li><li>Build and maintain a preferred vendor base with robust performance scorecards.</li><li>Secure capacity proactively by forecasting demand with Geo Heads.</li></ul>2. Network Design &amp; Optimization<ul><li>Analyze trade lane performance and design a robust, scalable supply chain network to reduce lead times, improve service reliability, and lower landed cost.</li><li>Continuously evaluate alternative routings, transshipment hubs, and partners to optimize cost-to-serve.</li><li>Support expansion into new lanes (IN&rarr;WW, CN&rarr;US, SEA&rarr;EU etc.) with lane setup playbooks and SOPs.</li></ul>3. Operational Excellence &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Define lane-level SOPs in collaboration with Geo Heads and Operations teams.</li><li>Monitor shipment milestones, exceptions, and on-time performance using dashboards.</li><li>Run root-cause analysis for service failures and lead corrective/preventive action.</li><li>Partner with Product/Tech teams to automate processes, standardize workflows, and drive measurable improvements.</li></ul>4. Cost &amp; Performance Management<ul><li>Track procurement cost vs market benchmarks and improve cost competitiveness.</li><li>Drive quarterly business reviews with key vendors, share scorecards, and co-develop improvement plans.</li><li>Identify cost-saving and process-efficiency opportunities with clear ROI impact.</li></ul>5. Compliance &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>Ensure compliance with trade regulations, contracts, and internal governance.</li><li>Build contingency plans for capacity shortages, rate volatility, and operational disruptions.</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master&rsquo;s degree is a plus).</li><li>Experience: 5&ndash;7 years in procurement, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations with exposure to network design and process excellence.</li><li>Skills:</li><li>Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.</li><li>Deep understanding of ocean/air freight, trucking, and global trade lanes.</li><li>Experience with SOP creation, process improvement, and cost analysis.</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Proficiency in supply chain tools (rate management, TMS, dashboards).</li><li>Mindset: Problem-solver, data-driven, thrives in ambiguity, and takes end-to-end ownership.</li></ul>Why Work with Us<ul><li>Build, Operate, Scale, Repeat: You&rsquo;ll have true ownership &mdash; build lanes, set up vendors, run them at scale, and then go solve the next big problem.</li><li>First Principles Thinking: We don&rsquo;t copy-paste solutions.
