We are seeking a dynamic Procurement & Ops Excellence Manager to own procurement strategy, design a scalable global freight network, and drive continuous improvement across lanes. This role combines vendor management, network design, and process optimization — and works closely with our Geo Heads to deliver superior cost, reliability, and service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Own procurement strategy across assigned geographies (ocean, air, drayage, warehousing, last-mile).
- Source, negotiate, and finalize rate contracts with carriers, consolidators, and trucking vendors.
- Build and maintain a preferred vendor base with robust performance scorecards.
- Secure capacity proactively by forecasting demand with Geo Heads.
2. Network Design & Optimization
- Analyze trade lane performance and design a robust, scalable supply chain network to reduce lead times, improve service reliability, and lower landed cost.
- Continuously evaluate alternative routings, transshipment hubs, and partners to optimize cost-to-serve.
- Support expansion into new lanes (IN→WW, CN→US, SEA→EU etc.) with lane setup playbooks and SOPs.
3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Define lane-level SOPs in collaboration with Geo Heads and Operations teams.
- Monitor shipment milestones, exceptions, and on-time performance using dashboards.
- Run root-cause analysis for service failures and lead corrective/preventive action.
- Partner with Product/Tech teams to automate processes, standardize workflows, and drive measurable improvements.
4. Cost & Performance Management
- Track procurement cost vs market benchmarks and improve cost competitiveness.
- Drive quarterly business reviews with key vendors, share scorecards, and co-develop improvement plans.
- Identify cost-saving and process-efficiency opportunities with clear ROI impact.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, contracts, and internal governance.
- Build contingency plans for capacity shortages, rate volatility, and operational disruptions.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience: 5–7 years in procurement, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations with exposure to network design and process excellence.
- Skills:
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Deep understanding of ocean/air freight, trucking, and global trade lanes.
- Experience with SOP creation, process improvement, and cost analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain tools (rate management, TMS, dashboards).
- Mindset: Problem-solver, data-driven, thrives in ambiguity, and takes end-to-end ownership.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
