Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier / Customer Service Associate / Stocker to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. This multifaceted role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and ensuring that products are well-stocked and displayed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience.Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product information, and resolving any issues.</li><li>Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.</li><li>Perform merchandising duties, including product displays, signage, and promotional setups to attract customers.</li><li>Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability.</li><li>Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on new items or promotions.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.</li><li>Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work atmosphere.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.</li><li>Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail setting.</li><li>Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as communication with diverse customers is essential.</li><li>Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for inventory management and sales tracking.</li><li>Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and team members alike.
