Job Description: Maintenance Technician &ndash; Hotel IndustryPosition: Maintenance Technician Department: Engineering Reports To: General Manager Location: Vasco Da GamaJob Summary:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing preventive and reactive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and functionality of all hotel equipment, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. The role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hospitality.Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive &amp; Routine Maintenance<ul><li>Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.</li><li>Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, kitchen equipment, pumps, boilers, and generators.</li><li>Maintain maintenance logs and update checklists as required.</li></ul>2. Repairs &amp; Troubleshooting<ul><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair issues related to:</li><li>Electrical systems</li><li>Plumbing systems</li><li>Air-conditioning / refrigeration</li><li>Carpentry, painting, and minor civil works</li><li>Kitchen and laundry equipment</li><li>Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.</li></ul>3. Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Follow all hotel safety protocols and ensure safe working conditions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with fire &amp; safety regulations, including fire alarm checks, emergency lighting, and firefighting equipment readiness.</li><li>Report hazardous situations and take corrective actions.</li></ul>4. Equipment &amp; Inventory Management<ul><li>Monitor maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.</li><li>Requisition materials and report shortages to the supervisor.</li><li>Ensure proper care and usage of tools and machinery.</li></ul>5. Guest Service<ul><li>Attend guest room calls with courtesy and resolve issues efficiently.</li><li>Maintain guest satisfaction by ensuring minimal downtime of equipment and facilities.</li></ul>6. Teamwork &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and other departments for repair and maintenance tasks.</li><li>Maintain daily activity reports and update job completion records.</li><li>Support major repair works and renovation projects.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, or Mechanical trade.</li><li>Minimum 2&ndash;4 years of experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance (preferred).</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;20,000.00 - &#8377;22,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li></ul>Work Location: In person
